WiFi Calling Configuration Checklist
TP-Link Archer VR2100
When troubleshooting WiFi calling issues the following checklist can be used.
1. QoS Setup
- Enable QoS in Advanced > QoS
- Set bandwidth control to match actual internet speed
- Add high priority rule for UDP ports 500, 4500, 5060
- Assign priority to mobile device IP or MAC
2. Wireless Optimization
- Disable Smart Connect
- Assign phones to 5GHz band
- Set channel width: 2.4GHz · 40MHz, 5GHz · 80MHz
- Change channels to avoid interference
- Enable Beamforming and MU-MIMO
- Reduce distance and obstacles
3. MTU Settings
- Go to Advanced > Network > Internet > MTU
- Set MTU to 1472 or ISP-recommended value
- Reboot router
4. IPv6 Settings
- Go to Advanced > Network > IPv6
- Disable IPv6 if not needed
5. Firmware Update
- Go to Advanced > System Tools > Firmware Upgrade
- Check and apply updates
6. Troubleshooting Tips
- Use WiFi analyzer to check signal strength
- Avoid network congestion during calls
- Use wired connection if possible
