Reconfigure your existing TP-Link modem (FTTP)
These instructions are intended as a guide to reconfiguring or for setting up an existing TP-Link modem.
In this article we are using the following modem and it's at the time current firmware version.
Modem: TP-Link Archer VR400
Please ensure the modem is either brand new, out of the box or has been factory reset. To factory reset the modem please press and hold the reset button (for 10 seconds or until the lights go out). The reset button is located on the back of the modem.
Now follow the below instructions to configure your modem for use with our Sonic Internet service.
- Connect the modem via a Ethernet (network) cable from the LAN/WAN Port 4 to the Uni-D-1 port (or port described in our welcome email) on the NBN NTD (Network Termination Device)
- Connect via Wifi to the modem using the Network Name (SSID) and Password (Key). These details will be on the base of the modem.

- You will be presented with the modems admin login page
- Setup your desired password and submit.
- On the next screen you will need to set the relevant time zone and then continue the wizard.
- When the next page loads, do not proceed with the wizard and click the 'Advanced' tab at the top of the screen.
- Select Operation Mode (on the left menu)
- Select "Wireless Router Mode" and then Save
- The modem will reboot.
- Once connected again via Wifi after the modem restarts (this might take 5 minutes), refresh your web browser and log back in to the TP-Link admin portal (http://192.168.1.1)

- ISP List : Other
